Dr. Russ Van Zant

Dr. Russ Van Zant has received recognition as one of the Best Dentists Across The Commonwealth 2011 by Kentucky Monthly magazine. He has been with our practice since 1999 upon his graduation from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. He moved to Elizabethtown in 1983 and is a graduate of Central Hardin High School. He is married and has 3 children. Dr. Van Zant is proud to be living and working in the community where he grew up. He enjoys time with family, sports, music, and exercise.

Angie

Angie serves as the Office Manager for our dental practice. She has worked in our office since 1990.

Janet

Janet has been serving patients as a dental hygienist for 29 years. Janet is a graduate of North Hardin High School, Valencia College of Dental Hygiene, and Nova Southeastern University. She joined the practice in June 2022.

Tami

Tami is an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) and has been working in the dental field since 1996. She began working in our office in 2000, and besides assisting, her duties include managing supplies and overseeing laboratory cases.

Erin

Erin has been a dental hygienist since 2009 when she graduated from the dental hygiene program at Western Kentucky University. She joined our practice in 2015.

Kaylee

Kaylee graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelors in Science in Dental Hygiene in May 2023. She joined our practice in February 2024.

Kristy

Kristy has worked in the practice since 2001. She has worked as an EDDA (expanded duties, dental assistant), and currently is an insurance and patient care coordinator.

Tess

Tess holds a BS in Dental Hygiene from Western Kentucky University and has been a hygienist for over 26 years. She evaluates periodontal health and works towards a practical strategy to manage gum disease for life. Tess enjoys her job and loves a challenge.

Laccie

Laccie began her career in dentistry in 2008 while living in northern Virginia. Her family moved to Kentucky in 2013 and she obtained her Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) certification at the University of Kentucky in 2015. She has been with our office since May 2017.

Abbie

Abbie is an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant. She received her training at The Medical Institute of KY- Bowling Green in 2018. She joined our practice in February 2019.

Education, Education, Education

In this world of digital technology, it seems that a lot of our knowledge today will be outdated tomorrow. Dr. Van Zant, and our staff are constantly attending educational classes, seminars, and webinars to keep up on the rapidly changing technologies. The following is a list of just some of our advanced training and professional affiliations:

● Dr. Van Zant has been recognized in Kentucky Monthly magazine as one of the Best Dentists from Across The Commonwealth, and as a Top Dentist in America
● Associate fellowships in the World Clinical Laser Institute
● Tami Noble and Laccie Johnson have been to CEREC® training at the CEREC® Training Center in Alpharetta, GA
● Our staff has had in office training for the CEREC® Same-Day Crowns
● Dr. Van Zant, and all of our hygienists, and our EDDAs have had Dexis Digital Imaging Certification training
● Dr. Van Zant is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), The Kentucky Dental Association (KDA), and the Louisville Dental Society (LDS)
